On January 28th, the PuKou Economic Development Zone in Nanjing announced the progress of several major projects, including the Nanjing Huatian Storage and RF Integrated Circuit Testing Industrialization Project, the High-End Substrate Project for Chip Love Integrated Circuit Packaging (Phase I), the IC Integrated Circuit Research and Innovation Park Project, and the Integrated Circuit Design Tower Project (Headquarters Base).

Nanjing Huatian Storage and RF Integrated Circuit Testing Industrialization Project:

This project, designated as a provincial major project in 2022, involves the renovation of existing factory buildings and the procurement of approximately 1,780 sets of equipment. It also includes the construction of a storage and RF integrated circuit testing production line. After its completion, it is expected to generate an annual output value of approximately 1.4 billion yuan.

The project started in early 2022 and achieved partial production in the same year. The production capacity of the production line has steadily increased and has reached 81% of the designed capacity. Once fully completed, the project is expected to produce approximately 1.3 billion BGA and LGA series integrated circuit products annually, further enhancing the development level of the integrated circuit industry in Nanjing.

High-End Substrate Project for Chip Love Integrated Circuit Packaging (Phase I):

Designated as a provincial major project in 2022, this project occupies a total land area of 115 acres and aims to construct high-end packaging process production lines for CPU, GPU, AI, FPGA, 5G, autonomous driving, and network communication products. With a total investment of 4.5 billion yuan, the project is projected to achieve an annual production of approximately 1.45 million pieces of FCCSP (Flip Chip Chip Scale Package) and FCBGA (Flip Chip Ball Grid Array) devices. It is expected to generate an annual output value of no less than 1 billion yuan and contribute annual tax revenues of no less than 50 million yuan. The project is estimated to create over 2,400 job opportunities.

Currently, the main structure of the production plant has been completed, and internal construction, water and electricity installation, and supporting facilities such as wastewater pipelines are in progress. Some production equipment has been delivered, and partial completion is expected in March of this year, with official production scheduled for June.

IC Integrated Circuit Research and Innovation Park Project:

Located in the PuKou Economic Development Zone of Nanjing, the IC Integrated Circuit Research and Innovation Park covers an approximate land area of 110 acres. The planning focuses on research and design, including the construction of intelligent office buildings, headquarters offices, intelligent manufacturing research and development buildings, research incubation buildings, and supporting facilities within the park.

This project aims to improve talent attraction policies and mechanisms in the development zone and create an IC intelligent manufacturing and high-end research and development office innovation park with agglomeration effects. Once completed, the project will also provide supporting living services for surrounding residential areas. Currently, the main structure of some buildings in the project has been capped, and excavation work on the central island is 70% complete.

Integrated Circuit Design Tower Project (Headquarters Base):

The Phase I of this project has a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan and covers an area of approximately 112.6 acres. The total construction area is about 370,000 square meters, including a 60,000-square-meter podium building, an exhibition center, and three towers with a height of 100 meters. The project incorporates mixed-use formats such as offices, hotels, and commercial spaces. It is envisioned as an open, diverse, vibrant, and distinctive urban public activity center, symbolizing the transition of the PuKou Economic Development Zone from a "development zone" to an "urban area."

As an important innovation platform for cultivating new economy, new industries, and new drivers, this project will make significant contributions to creating a favorable business environment, promoting rapid regional innovation, and driving the transformation of old and new economic drivers in the PuKou Economic Development Zone. Once completed, it will become a landmark building in the Qiaolin area and even in the PuKou district.
